Donald Trump is considering running for governor, a leading Republican said Friday. Senate Majority Leader Joseph Bruno on Thursday suggested that a big-name candidate could be flirting with entering the 2006 contest. On Friday, he confirmed to News Channel 10 in Albany that he had been referring to Trump.

Apparently, the cat was paying attention when his owner tried to show him how to dial 911. A Columbus, Ohio, man was unable to call for help when he fell out of his wheelchair Thursday, but he says his cat did it for him.
FEMA dumps unused donated drinking water

Eighteen truckloads of water donated for hurricane relief efforts have been dumped down a sewer in Dallas. The Federal Emergency Management Agency says one million cans of drinking water were emptied because the water wasn’t used at Texas and Louisiana hurricane shelters.

Police say a woman accidentally ran over and killed her boyfriend on the highway near Sioux Narrows, Ont. Thursday. Ontario Provincial Police say the 39-year-old man and his girlfriend were driving from Whitefish Bay to Kenora on Ontario’s Highway 71.
