In Tyler Texas, a marine was shopping for an engagement ring at a Helzberg Diamonds store when an anonymous shopper decided to pay for the ring for him.

The anonymous shopper had spoken to the groom-to-be, Marine James Lynaugh, about her own family’s connection to the military. Mr. Lynaugh then opened a credit account at the store to buy the ring, then left with his purchase. After he was gone, the generous anonymous shopper requested the store that the charge be reversed, and instead paid for it herself. She didn’t even ask how much the purchase was, but simply took out her checkbook and paid for it.

This is an example of true selfless giving, and was probably done in the spirit of Christmas. I always get annoyed when someone gives a large gift then goes out of their way to let the receiver and everyone else know what they gave. When giving a gift to a stranger, anonymously is the only right way to do it. I believe this woman, whomever she is, will be truly blessed for her generous actions.
