Teenage girl kills older boyfriend
A 16-year-old girl in Florida was charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing death early Saturday of her 34-year-old boyfriend, police said.
Police found the man dead in a Lake Worth apartment after responding to a 911 call. The girl, who was not identified because of her age, told officers that she killed her boyfriend because he planned to leave her, police spokesman Sgt. Daniel M. Boland said. She was arrested and held in a juvenile facility, Boland said. The victim’s name was withheld until his relatives could be notified.
At the time of her arrest, the girl had an outstanding warrant for failing to appear on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, Boland said.
