LA Scraps Airport Modernization Plans
After a decade of work, Los Angeles says its eleven (b) billion-dollar modernization plan for L-A International Airport won’t fly.
In fact, it was shot down by a barrage of lawsuits, which have now been tentatively settled.
The deal calls for the airport to scrap most of its expansion plan, limit passenger growth and pay hundreds of (m) millions of dollars to soundproof nearby homes. The facility also agrees to reduce traffic congestion and provide job programs.
