Missouri Radio Reporter Arrested on Murder Charges
In Jefferson City, Missouri, radio talk show host James P. Keown, who often interviewed the local prosecutor about murders and other crimes, was arrested during a commercial break on his radio show for the murder of his wife.
Prosecutors believe that Mr. Keown poisoned his wife Julie with a chemical commonly found in antifreeze, while the couple were living in Massachusetts in 2004. Julie Keown had become ill before slipping into a coma and passing away. It took a year of testing to gain the proof that she was indeed poisoned with what the autopsy showed; ethylene glycol. During that year, James Keown had relocated to Missouri.
