10 Year Old Conjoined Twins may be separated
Ten-year-old twins Sabah and Farah from Bihar, Devanagri (India), conjoined at the head, may get the separation they’ve always wanted. Dr. Benjamin Carson of John Hopkins Childrens hospital in the US, annouced after he and a team studied an angiogram of the twins’ brains at the Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in Delhi, that separation is possible and that they will take on the challenge.
The cost of the surgery is uncertain; the last one like it costed in excess of one million dollars, but the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahayan, read a report on the twins and offered to bear the cost of evaluation and treatment. Sabah and Farah’s parents say that they could never considered the surgery without this generous offer.
