Miller Appears in Court

After 85 days behind bars (willingly went to) Judith Miller has appeared in court to answer questions before the federal grand jury. Special Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald’s questions were regarding her conversations in July 2003 with VP Cheney’s Chief of Staff, I. Lewis Libby.

Miller said that her source, Libby, had released her from her promise of confidentiality, so the question remains, why did Libby wait all this time to release her? Why make her spend time in jail? It seems I’m not the only one asking that question – so is the Republic of T and Blanton’s and Ashton’s.

Now we have to see if Bush will honor his pledge to fire anyone involved in this leak. Will Libby be the fall guy for this, and will Rove escape any action whatsoever? How much did Bush and/or Cheney know?
