Giuliani and McCain best Clinton is latest polls
The result of the latest Rasmussen Reports poll shows Arizona Senator John McCain easily beating New York Senator and former first lady, Hillary Clinton in the upcoming 2008 Presidential election.
The same poll also gives Rudy Giuliani a four point leave over Hillary Clinton who is the consensus favorite to win the Democratic nomination in 2008. Republicans favor Giuliani over McCain by a few percentage points.
Fifty seven percent of the people polled also believed that Giuliani would handle a disaster better than Clinton. Only thirty seven percent trusted Hillary. When it comes to dealing with the situation in Iraq, the voters trust Giuliani by an 11 point margin. McCain’s numbers were slightly lower, but still above Senator Clinton’s.
Hillary is also considered to be more polarizing candidate, 49% hold an unfavorable opinion of Mrs. Clinton. On September 7th, Rasmussen posted the results of a poll that said only 27% of American voters would definitely vote for Hillary. If she receives the nomination in 2008, that number is sure to rise.
