Bush won’t raise taxes for Gulf Relief
On Friday, President Bush ruled out raising taxes to pay for the recovery of the Gulf Coast, and said that some of the expense would have to be offset by budget cuts in other programs. He also said that he wouldn’t put a price tag on rebuilding the areas destroyed by Katrina. The growing bills for the damage are already worrying members of Congress.
