Baby Delivered after Mother is Killed
32-year-old Adriana Cruz, a woman 8 months pregnant in Oakland, California, died Thursday afternoon after being crushed by her car, but doctors were able to deliver the baby, who is in fair condition. Cruz was getting into her car when she released her parking brake and the car rolled forward and crushed her between the car and an apartment building. She was taken to the hospital were doctors delivered the baby by Cesarean section.
