Two Connecticut Mayors to run for Governor
The gubernatorial election is over a year away, but in Connecticut, Mayors John DeStefano and Dannel Malloy are hoping the Democratic party loyalists will get behind their campaigns.
Most key Democrats haven’t endorsed either of them, because they’re waiting to see what other Democrats get into the race, and if Republican Governor M. Jodi Rell will run.
Secretary of the State Susan Bysiewicz dropped out of the race last week, saying that uncertainty made it difficult for her to continue pursuing the Democratic nomination.
