11 Children found locked in cages
Sheriff’s deputies found 11 children locked in cages less than 3 1/2 feet high inside a home, but the Wakeman, Ohio couple denied they had abused or neglected the children. A neighbor called to report the adoptive parents because she believed the children were made to work in the garden for extremely long hours. When a children’s services investigator went to investigate on Friday, he was invited in and saw one of the children in a cage. The couple gave the impression that they didn’t think anything was wrong or out of the ordinary.
A judge on Monday put the children, who range in age from 1 to 14, in foster homes. No charges had been filed as of Monday night.
