Al-Qaeda takes the credit again
Al-Qaida’s second-in-command, Ayman al-Zawahiri, made a direct claim of responsibility for the July 7 London bombings in a tape that was broadcast Thursday on Al-jazeera. Giving a farewell warning on the tape was Mohammad Sidique Khan, a Leeds resident who died in the bombing, who said that Westerners had failed to heed previous warnings.
London police are aware of the tape and it will be a part of the ongoing investigation.
