Helios Crash Still Mystifying
Authorities have verified that blood found in the cockpit of the Cypriot airliner that crashed near Athens, Greece, this week was that of a flight attendant, according to a source close to the investigation.
Mystery has shrouded the final moments of Helios Airways Flight 522 before it crashed on August 16, killing all 121 people on board. The plane had left Larnaca, Cyprus, for Athens on its way to Prague, Czech Republic.
Despite identifying the blood as belonging to Cypriot attendant Andreas Prodromou, investigators have not confirmed he was in the cockpit at the time of the crash.
