Hussein’s Attorneys Refusing to Attend
Saddam Hussein’s attorneys claim he was attacked during a court appearance last week, and are refusing to attend any legal proceedings until the Iraqi Special Tribunal acknowledges the incident and guarantees the safety of all defendants and lawyers. So far the Tribunal and the Iraqi government are denying the attack ever happened.
Khalil al-Dulaimi, one of Saddam’s lawyers, stated that they would not attend any further proceedings until their demands are met.
