Murdoch Foray Into Internet
Rupert Murdoch has finally broken into the Internet world with the purchase of Intermix Media (the owner of MySpace.com, the fifth most viewed web domain in the US). Murdoch, chairman and chief executive of News Corp., said in a statement, “Intermix is an important acquisition for News Corp, instantly doubling the number of visitors to our sites and providing an ideal foundation on which to meaningfully increase our internet presence.”
