Babies Soaked In Toxic Chemicals
In a revelation that might have resounding consequences it was found that on average 287 chemicals (mostly toxic) are present in the umbilical cord of unborn babies, including mercury, gasoline by-products, and pesticides. The report by the Environmental Working Group is based on 10 samples of umbilical cord blood taken by the American Red Cross. Chemicals banned decades ago were present, and in tests taken of breast milk too, such as PCBs.
